Black Romance

The dark side takes over...

You don't even have to be fashion forward to see which trend swept the catwalk this season. And the dresses swept it literally, with flowing trains dreamily traipsing after lashings of leather, lace, and general amazing-ness. And even though the catwalks were covered in black, black, and more black, it's not a childish goth fad. Far from it. More like a celebration of the sumptuousness of black. Basically, black is bringing sexy back. The whole vibe of this is fairies-turned vampires married Hell's Angels. From flesh-bearing chiffon and florals at Gucci(above), to minimalistic cuts and gorgeous silhouettes at Dior, there is a wide range of styles, each as beautiful as each other. Looking at these dresses make me feel jealous, but strangely like I want to marry them. Add a little essence of this trend to an outfit, and build up from there, as there is a fine line between looking gothically sexy and looking like a servant of the Underworld. But with this look, there are no rules. The most important accessory is the right attitude. Simply put on the item, add an air of nonchalance, and go.
